Danielle Olsen, DVM
Dr. Danielle Olsen, a 2007 graduate of UC Davis Veterinary Medical School, has recently returned to West Valley Pet Clinic where she originally began her career. After running her own house-call business for the past 8 years, Dr. Olsen looks forward to reconnecting with patients, old and new. She’s a true local, born and raised in Cupertino. Dr. Olsen says her vocation IS her vacation and often touts
that she has the best job in the world!
When not working, Dr. Olsen is involved in organized veterinary medicine and holds a position representing the local Veterinary Medical Association, advocating for animals at the statewide level. She also enjoys giving to underprivileged animals and has volunteered her time at various shelters doing feral cat spay & neuter clinics and even traveled to Uganda to do surgery at a preserve for orphaned chimpanzees.
On the weekends, you’ll find Dr. Olsen swimming in the ocean, surfing or hiking with her two boys and two dogs. Her menagerie also includes two ferrets and a cat. Dr. Olsen is known to adopt feline, canine and human children!
Dr. Olsen’s Professional Interests: Behavior, geriatric medicine, pain management, exotics (especially rodents & rabbits).
