Aleisha Nesset
DVM

Aleisha Nesset

Born and raised in the Midwest, Dr. Aleisha Nesset received her veterinary degree from Iowa State University and also carries a master’s in public health from the University of Iowa. She routinely works with a local feral cat trap and release, spay and neuter program. She is a member of the American Veterinary Association, California Veterinary Association, Member of American Association of Feline Practitioners, and the Santa Clara Veterinary Association.

The "Nesset Wild Kingdom" at home includes two dogs, Indy and Gypsy; two cats, Bast and Cleopatra, 2 toddlers, a husband and a mother.

Dr. Nesset’s Professional Interests: Animal surgery, dermatology, pocket pets, and geriatric medicine.

Valerie Brons
MRCVS

Valerie Brons

Dr. Brons comes to West Valley Pet Clinic & Avian Medical Group from Britain. Originally from Saratoga, California, she studied at the University of California, Davis before receiving her veterinary degree from the Royal Veterinary College in London, England, where she became a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2004.

Dr. Brons practiced in Wales, England for three years before returning to California with her Welsh cat. She practiced briefly in Monterey before returning to the Bay Area. Her associations include the California and American Veterinary Medical Associations, the British Veterinary Zoological Society, Member of American Association of Feline Practitioners, and the European Association of Avian Veterinarians.

Dr. Brons's Professional Interests: Senior feline medicine, dog and cat dentistry, avian medicine and surgery, pocket pets and anything chicken related.

Danielle Olsen
DVM

Danielle Olsen

Dr. Danielle Olsen, a 2007 graduate of UC Davis Veterinary Medical School, has recently returned to West Valley Pet Clinic where she originally began her career. After running her own house-call business for the past 8 years, Dr. Olsen looks forward to reconnecting with patients, old and new.

She's a true local, born and raised in Cupertino. Dr. Olsen says her vocation IS her vacation and often touts that she has the best job in the world!

When not working, Dr. Olsen is involved in organized veterinary medicine and holds a position representing the local Veterinary Medical Association, advocating for animals at the statewide level. She also enjoys giving to underprivileged animals and has volunteered her time at various shelters doing feral cat spay & neuter clinics and even travelled to Uganda to do surgery at a preserve for orphaned chimpanzees.

On the weekends, you'll find Dr. Olsen swimming in the ocean, surfing or hiking with her two boys and two dogs. Her menagerie also includes two ferrets and a cat. Dr. Olsen is known to adopt feline, canine and human children!

Dr. Olsen's Professional Interests: Behavior, geriatric medicine, pain management, exotics (especially rodents & rabbits).

Practice Manager

Jill

Jill is a Midwestern transplant from Michigan, although she has lived in the Bay Area for quite a few years now. Jill graduated from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo. In her off time, she loves hanging out with her adorable nephew, going to the beach, and traveling, but also indulges in shopping...shoes being her biggest weakness. We have been lucky to have her since 2008.

Pets: Tiko and Nina (Chihuahua mixes)

Head Receptionist, Extraordinaire

Eva

Eva grew up in Rutherford, New Jersey before making her way across the country. She has been an integral part of our team since 2005. When not making clients' experience here smooth and efficient, she is off exercising her wide artistic streak, whether in creating home crafts, taking photographs, or developing culinary skills.

Sandra
Head Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)

Sandra

Sandra joined the West Valley Pet Clinic in May 2015 as a Registered Veterinary Technician. She graduated from the Veterinary Technology program at Carrington College in 2014 and became a licensed technician shortly after. Sandra is a very cheerful, bubbly person. She is excellent at keeping everyone smiling and laughing throughout the day. Sandra is exceptionally strong in cat handling and behavior. We are so grateful to have Sandra as part of our team.

Pets: 4 cats: Bernard, Merlin, Mowgli and Sabrina

Gigi
Receptionist Extraordinaire

Gigi

Gigi is a familiar presence at WVPC for a little bit now. She is the welcoming face at the front counter when you enter the door. Gigi's green thumb is the main reason why all of our plants remain healthy and the floral arrangements look amazing. With her great eye for color and style, she is our go to for all questions regarding design. Her kind heart, patience and understanding make her an invaluable asset to the team.

Felicia is our sweet, bubbly receptionist who is always eager to help.

Marlene

Marlene is a San Jose native. She graduated from the National Holistic Institute in 2008 and has a certificate in massage therapy. Marlene is a newlywed, and they just added a new addition to their family, a baby boy named Lukas, born in October 2013. The adorable Luke takes after his mom with his ability to spread joy to everyone around him. We are grateful to have Marlene as part of our team since September 2012.

Megan
Veterinary Assistant

Megan

Megan just joined the West Valley Pet Clinic team in January 2016. Megan grew up in San Luis Obispo, but currently resides in San Jose. She is not allowed to have pets at her current residence, so she truly enjoys interacting with all the pets that come in to the clinic. If she is not working, you may catch her riding her motorcycle or tinkering with the engine in her garage. Megan is an excellent addition to our team.

Hobbies: Riding motorcycles/dirtbikes, camping, cooking and gardening

Hidden Talent: An excellent napper...can sleep anywhere, anytime and brews a great beer!
