Compassionate Care From West Valley Pet Clinic & Avian Medical Group’s Dedicated Veterinary Staff
Born and raised in the Midwest, Dr. Aleisha Nesset received her veterinary degree from Iowa State University and also carries a master’s in public health from the University of Iowa. She routinely works with a local feral cat trap and release, spay and neuter program. She is a member of the American Veterinary Association, California Veterinary Association, Member of American Association of Feline Practitioners, and the Santa Clara Veterinary Association.
The "Nesset Wild Kingdom" at home includes two dogs, Indy and Gypsy; two cats, Bast and Cleopatra, 2 toddlers, a husband and a mother.
Dr. Nesset’s Professional Interests: Animal surgery, dermatology, pocket pets, and geriatric medicine.
Dr. Brons comes to West Valley Pet Clinic & Avian Medical Group from Britain. Originally from Saratoga, California, she studied at the University of California, Davis before receiving her veterinary degree from the Royal Veterinary College in London, England, where she became a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2004.
Dr. Brons practiced in Wales, England for three years before returning to California with her Welsh cat. She practiced briefly in Monterey before returning to the Bay Area. Her associations include the California and American Veterinary Medical Associations, the British Veterinary Zoological Society, Member of American Association of Feline Practitioners, and the European Association of Avian Veterinarians.
Dr. Brons's Professional Interests: Senior feline medicine, dog and cat dentistry, avian medicine and surgery, pocket pets and anything chicken related.
Dr. Armor was raised in Sunnyvale, California and attended Homestead High School. After graduating with honors from the University of California, Davis, Vet School in 2006, she relocated to the East Bay Area, practicing in Castro Valley for six years and then in San Ramon for one year. Recently, Dr. Armor moved back to the South Bay to be closer to family and to join our team at West Valley Pet Clinic. She shares her home with a black Labrador puppy, named Waverly, two cats, Potato and Polly, and a large Oscar-fish named Robby. On the weekends, Dr. Armor can be found in Tahoe snowboarding in the winter and wakeboarding in the summer.
Dr. Armor’s Professional Interests: General Surgery, ultrasound, pocket pet medicine and surgery, fox tail removals and ear infections!
Jill is a Midwestern transplant from Michigan, although she has lived in the Bay Area for quite a few years now. Jill graduated from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo. In her off time, she loves hanging out with her adorable nephew, going to the beach, and traveling, but also indulges in shopping...shoes being her biggest weakness. We have been lucky to have her since 2008.

Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
Joanna and her family have been bringing their pets to West Valley Pet Clinic for many years and she just joined our team at the beginning of February 2015 as a RVT. Joanna graduated from the Foothill College Veterinary Technology program and received her license in 2014. Her intelligence, sweet and calm disposition, and compassion and undeniable love of all animals, make her a great fit within the WVPC family.

Hidden Talent: Karaoke
Jessica is another local we’ve brought into our fold. She graduated from the veterinary technician program at Western Career College in 2009 and was enthusiastically welcomed to our team in January 2011. She has no "off time," as when not here, she stays in shape by chasing her toddler son around at home—good thing Riley’s so cute!

Head Receptionist, Extraordinaire
Eva grew up in Rutherford, New Jersey before making her way across the country. She has been an integral part of our team since 2005. When not making clients' experience here smooth and efficient, she is off exercising her wide artistic streak, whether in creating home crafts, taking photographs, or developing culinary skills.

Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
Sandra joined the West Valley Pet Clinic in May 2015 as a Registered Veterinary Technician. She graduated from the Veterinary Technology program at Carrington College in 2014 and became a licensed technician shortly after. Sandra is a very cheerful, bubbly person. She is excellent at keeping everyone smiling and laughing throughout the day. Sandra is exceptionally strong in cat handling and behavior. We are so grateful to have Sandra as part of our team.

Elena has been a great addition to our team since July 2015. Her interests in working directly with animals has increased and she is now working as a Veterinary Assistant at the clinic. She currently lives in Santa Clara with her husband and three cats, Parker, Deezel & Schmidty. Elena not only has great customer service skills but has over five years of experience working at zoological establishments. In fact, she has been a Bird Show Keeper in Utah and a Bird Trainer at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo.

Alyssa is another local recruitment and joined our team in April as a Veterinary Assistant. Alyssa is a sweetheart who always has a constant smile on her face. She has an eager desire to take every opportunity to learn and grow. Alyssa also volunteers at the Oakland Zoo Veterinary Hospital, which gives her valuable hands on experience with exotic animals. Her enthusiasm and motivation make her a wonderful addition to our team.

Gigi is a familiar presence at WVPC for a little bit now. She is the welcoming face at the front counter when you enter the door. Gigi's green thumb is the main reason why all of our plants remain healthy and the floral arrangements look amazing. With her great eye for color and style, she is our go to for all questions regarding design. Her kind heart, patience and understanding make her an invaluable asset to the team.

Marlene is a San Jose native. She graduated from the National Holistic Institute in 2008 and has a certificate in massage therapy. Marlene is a newlywed, and they just added a new addition to their family, a baby boy named Lukas, born in October 2013. The adorable Luke takes after his mom with his ability to spread joy to everyone around him. We are grateful to have Marlene as part of our team since September 2012.

Megan just joined the West Valley Pet Clinic team in January 2016. Megan grew up in San Luis Obispo, but currently resides in San Jose. She is not allowed to have pets at her current residence, so she truly enjoys interacting with all the pets that come in to the clinic. If she is not working, you may catch her riding her motorcycle or tinkering with the engine in her garage. Megan is an excellent addition to our team.
